SERVICE Detail
A dental crown is a custom-made, tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged, weak, or decayed tooth to restore its shape, strength, and function. Crowns fully cover the tooth, providing long-term protection and improving both appearance and durability.
Dental crowns are commonly used to restore teeth that are broken, worn down, severely decayed, or weakened after root canal treatment. Before placing a crown, a small amount of enamel is reshaped to ensure a precise fit. Each crown is custom-crafted to match the size, shape, and color of the surrounding teeth.
Crowns can be made from different materials such as metal, porcelain, ceramic, or zirconia. At PVK Dental Care, crown selection is based on the tooth’s location, functional needs, and aesthetic expectations, ensuring a natural look with long-lasting performance.
Dental crown treatment usually involves two visits:
First Visit
The tooth is prepared by reshaping and removing damaged enamel. Impressions are taken to design a custom crown, and a temporary crown is placed for protection.
Second Visit
The temporary crown is removed, and the permanent crown is checked for fit, color, and comfort before being securely bonded using dental cement.

Testimonials
From gentle treatments to personalized care, our mission is to make every visit comfortable, safe, and rewarding.
Here’s what some of our happy patients have to say about their experience with us.
Had such a wonderful experience. The hospital has such a understanding staff and special mention to doc. Vijaya priya for taking such good care of my daughter. Would recommend 100% for anyone considering a pediatric dentist!!
We came for my mother’s Root canal treatment. The doctor was so friendly and took care of my mother’s fear of tooth pain during treatment. The doctor explained the procedure clearly before the treatment, and tooth crown was placed on two root canal teeth, along with a bridge to fill the tooth gap. The treatment was also cost effective and clinic was not crowded during our visits. Recommended !!! 😊
The clinic is modern, well-maintained, and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The staff were courteous and welcoming, making the entire experience smooth and comfortable. We visited for a filling and root canal treatment; the doctor explained the procedure clearly and was very friendly. Thank you for the excellent care!
This is my first time for dental treatment ever but I am going through my root canal procedure as smooth as possible because the dentist and each and every staff were kind and willing to explain the procedure to me in very polite manner and treats me well and good which makes me more comfortable with the procedure and it ease my anxiety for hospitals.

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to restore its strength, shape, and appearance. Crowns are commonly recommended after root canal treatment, for broken teeth, or to improve aesthetics.
Dental crowns can be made from materials such as porcelain, ceramic, zirconia, metal, or porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM). The choice depends on the tooth location, bite force, and cosmetic requirements, which are evaluated during consultation.
With proper care, dental crowns can last 10–15 years or longer. Good oral hygiene, avoiding excessive biting forces, and regular dental check-ups help extend their lifespan.
The crown procedure is usually comfortable and performed under local anesthesia. Mild sensitivity after placement is normal and temporary. Modern techniques ensure minimal discomfort throughout the process.
Caring for a dental crown is similar to caring for natural teeth. Brush twice daily, floss regularly, avoid chewing very hard objects, and visit your dentist for routine check-ups.
